The information industry is many things - dynamic, ever-changing, reinventing itself by the minute - but never conventional. If skill-building in our sector depends on riding the bleeding edge of new technology and methods, why do the professional development events available to us insist on tired, conventional learning methods?
podCON is a concentrated forum for peer-to-peer education methods; our presenters aren't professional speakers, they're our attendees - professionals - sharing the stories and structure behind successes taking shape this very moment in information security as well as system and network engineering. Let the other conventions ask their attendees to sit and listen - we'd prefer to give podCON attendees the chance to participate, learn, and develop relationships that will last the rest of their career.
Logistics
Professionally or individually with podCON

Time isn't just money—it's the most valuable resource we have. In a world where the difference between a smart process and a broken one is measured in minutes, how can we justify spending priceless personnel hours standing in conference lines or listening to off-topic filler talks while waiting for piecemeal main event presentations? podCON is focused on providing a lean, powerful environment for networking and continuing education. It's a small, invitation-only opportunity where every presentation is the main event, and where every moment is spent engaging with IT peers over meaningful content. We are a not-for-profit event with no attendance fees—only the expectation that participants make their own arrangements for travel to and from the event, and come ready to soak up knowledge and ideas from their fellow professional attendees.

Speakers
Priming the next generation of speakers

You've done some amazing things – it’s time to share those victories with your peers and help make the information industry a better, more intelligently assembled stage for accomplishment and success - while picking up a few opportunities to hone your presentation skills along the way.

podCON doesn't put together a slate of paid-to-present speakers and then fill them with passive attendees; our speakers are our attendees. Every professional attending podCON gets his or her moment at the front of the room, sharing success stories (and teachable stumbles), offering expertise and advice on a topic of their choosing. Everyone wins - all attendees work together to create a relevant, focused learning environment while also getting a chance to flex their presentation and communication muscles.
